Foster and Kinship Carers Association NT is an independent, non-government, not-for-profit organisation supporting foster and kinship carers, and strengthening the out-of-home-care sector.

Our core functions include:
– Being a voice for foster and kinship carers through advocacy and government lobbying
– Raising issues on behalf of individual or all carers to improve policy, standards of care and the needs of carers
– Providing confidential advice
– Providing information on carers rights
– Being a key referral hub of support services to assist carers in their role
– Networking and peer support networks
– Training and professional development
– Mentoring and carer support
– Providing information to people thinking about becoming a foster or kinship carer
