The Institute for Aboriginal Development (IAD) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation established in 1969 as a cross-cultural adult education and training centre serving all Aboriginal people in Central Australia.

IdA is a not-for-profit incorporated community organisation offering free, confidential advocacy services to people with disability, their families and carers throughout the NT. IdA takes a holistic approach on all issues and concerns raised and has well established networks with a broad range of community organisations and government agencies, ensuring comprehensive referral pathways when required. IdA promotes access and inclusion and challenges stereotypes, supporting people with disability to live an independent unsegregated life.

ITEC is a NDIS registered disability support organisation. ITEC assists with Supported Independent Living, Community Access, Short and Medium Term Accommodation, coordination of Support, and Plan Management across all parts of the NT.

The Jawoyn Association Aboriginal Corporation is a key indigenous organisation in the Northern Territory, dedicated to community development and the economic advancement of the Jawoyn people. With a strong commitment to preserving cultural heritage, the organisation focuses on fostering sustainable business initiatives that benefit both the community and the environment. Jawoyn Association is a not-for-profit, with all revenue directed back at its community members either directly or through economic initiatives for the betterment of the Jawoyn people.

Kalano Community Association, an Aboriginal organisation, was established to meet the varying needs of the Aboriginal community, its members and their families within the Township of Katherine and its environs.

Over the past 40+ years, we have created and developed effective programs that address shortfalls in housing availability, employment and economic activity, social, community and health-related programs for our member population.

KSC (Kalunga Supported Care) is a disability service provider.

Kalunga Supported Care’s services include:
• Living and Life Skills – such as assisting with financial management, communication skills and lifestyle mentoring;
• Personal Activities – such as housework, laundry, shopping, personal hygiene, dressing, preparation or supply of meals and medication assistance;
• Community Participation – including supported shopping, medical appointments, sporting, recreational events, social activities, visiting or making new friends, travel, transport, building confidence and social skills;
• Respite – in home and centre-based;
• Group and Centre-based Activities – such as social outings, group and social activities on KSC’s premises;
• Life Stages and Transitions – supporting school leavers and those moving out of home or moving from group to independent living to make the transition on their own terms and in a way that meets their goals and aspirations.

KSC supports clients of all ages (children, adults and seniors) and with any disability (including physical, intellectual, multiple disabilities and mental illness).

Katherine Isolated Children’s Service is a not-for-profit, registered charity and an incorporated association. KICS began remote playgroups in the Northern Territory in 1988 and became incorporated in 1989.

Katherine Isolated Children’s Service visits children and families who are socially and geographically isolated. KICS visits children living on pastoral properties, in Indigenous communities, in the small towns of Mataranka, Timber Creek and Elliott and participates in invitational events such as campdrafts, Ladies Days, Family Days and Katherine School of the Air events.

Katherine Town Council is a local government, one of the three tiers of government in Australia under Territory, State and Federal.

Katherine Town Council is the fourth largest town in the Northern Territory and a thriving regional centre for service delivery. The local government area of Katherine has a population of around 10,000 with 25.5% of residents identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Katherine is also a hub for the surrounding Big Rivers Region. Katherine Town Council’s strategic priorities are developed on the basis that the town and our Council provides services to over 25,000 people.

Katherine West Health Board (KWHB) is a fully accredited Aboriginal community controlled health organisation providing clinical preventative and emergency health services across the remote western region of Katherine in the Northern Territory. Established for over 25 years, we aim to improve the health and wellbeing off all people in the Katherine West region through provision of culturally secure primary health care.

Katherine Women’s Crisis Centre (KWCC) is an established and well- known service in Katherine. It provides crisis accommodation and related support services to women and children escaping domestic and family violence across the Katherine region.

The Centre can support up to 25 people as well as education to women around the cycle of violence and its impact on children, as well as living skills and other practical information.

KWCC delivers a Critical Intervention Outreach Service (CIOS) to women that have previously utilised the KWCC accommodation services or who have been referred through the Family Safety Framework. This outreach service provides the women with ongoing support and referral.

KWCC services the following communities in the Northern Territory: Katherine, Mialli Brumby, Geyulkan, Rockhole, Binjari & Werenbun.

KWILS is a non-profit community legal centre that provides free legal services for all women in Katherine and the Big Rivers Region.
