To provide a seamless experience for our clients, all our podiatry clinics are set up with Hicaps to process on-the-spot private health fund rebates. No referral is required to visit any of our podiatry centres unless your GP has given you a Chronic Disease Management Care Plan Referral and Department of Veterans’ Affairs Referral.

We are the key non-government organisation working in the area of blood-borne viruses, education and support in the Northern Territory. We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of all Territorians living with blood-borne viruses. Our service delivery operates from a holistic approach in accordance with the objectives of the Ottawa Charter (1986), and guided by key national and Northern Territory policies and legislation.

While the Northern Territory covers a large area (1.3 million square kilometres), it is sparsely populated with approximately 233,000 people, including a significant constituency of Aboriginal people. To provide effective coverage of this area, NTAHC has offices in Darwin and Alice Springs and a single, integrated management and program structure. This management approach provides for efficient, coordinated and integrated peer-based service delivery to the priority populations identified in the suite of national blood-borne virus strategies. NTAHC maintains strong links to services providing clinical care for people living with blood-borne viruses. Improving access to treatment is a critical factor in improving the health of people living with blood-borne viruses in the Northern Territory.

We are the peak parent body for NT public education, providing advocacy and representation for families, students and school communities to the Northern Territory and Federal governments, including their agencies.

The Northern Territory Council of Social Service (NTCOSS) is the peak body for the Social and Community Sector in the NT and an advocate for social justice on behalf of people and communities who may be affected by poverty and disadvantage.

The NTCOSS team is located in both Darwin and Alice Springs, and for over 40 years has worked with its membership base, government and other stakeholders to strive for better outcomes for Territorians.

NTCOSS represents a varied service sector, with members contributing different experiences and perspectives. The Community Sector in the NT is made up of community managed, non-government, not for profit organisations that work in social and community service delivery, sector development and advocacy.

The Community Sector plays a vital role in creating social wellbeing for all Territorians and in building safe and healthy communities. The Sector provides services that enable people to access and participate in society, including health, education, employment, economic development and family and community life.

NTCOSS members are central to our work and advocacy. As a representative voice of the Sector to government, NTCOSS seeks to strengthen the Sector so that it can continue providing its essential services to the NT community.

We provide free legal information, referral and advice to people with a legal problem in the Northern Territory. Ongoing legal representation can be provided to people who meet our eligibility guidelines. We also provide Community Legal Education, outreach and participate in law reform activities.

NTMHC is the peak body for community managed mental health services across the Northern Territory.

The Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) is a large and diverse organisation servicing the whole of the Northern Territory (NT), covering everything from densely populated urban areas to remote communities and large regions of native bushland. The population is equally diverse, with many different nationalities and cultures living and working in and throughout the NT.

Northern Territory PHN is a not-for-profit organisation fully funded by the Australian Government to work closely with the primary health sector to develop better coordination, support the health workforce and introduce new health programs and services. Our vision is that people in the Northern Territory enjoy their best health and wellbeing. We achieve this by building strong local partnerships and directing resources to create a well-managed, high-quality primary health care system for Territorians. As the Territory’s Rural Workforce Agency (RWA NT), we also attract, recruit, educate and retain a professional primary health care workforce across the NT.

NRL NT is the peak governing body for Rugby League in the Northern Territory.

NT Stolen Generations was formally incorporated in 1998 to respond directly to the needs and concerns of members of the Stolen Generations, their families and communities through the following: Provide emotional support, social wellbeing services and referral service for Stolen Generations members and their families/descendants in the Top End

NT Friendship & Support provide a wide range of services to the residents of Katherine, Darwin, Alice Springs and surrounding regional communities.

Our services assist and support individuals and families living with a disability, provide personalised employment supports, and deliver out of home care for children. We also recruit, train and support workers, carers and volunteers to work in our communities.

NT Shelter is the housing affordability and homelessness peak body in the Northern Territory.

The Commissioner is an independent statutory position established under provisions contained in the Children’s Act 2013 (the Act).

The Commissioner has six core functions which include:

• Dealing with complaints about services provided to children.
• Undertaking investigations or inquiries related to systemic issues impacting on the care and protection of vulnerable children.
• Monitoring the response of Territory Families to allegations of the abuse of children while they are in out-of-homecare.
• Promoting an understanding of and informing public discussion about the rights, interests and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
• Monitoring the administration of the Care and Protection of children Act as far as it relates to vulnerable children.
