Bábbarra Women’s Centre has a proud history of positive social impact.

From the early days, we have supported the lives of Aboriginal women in the community of Maningrida and on surrounding homelands.

Bábbarra Women’s Centre enables local women to develop and run women-centred enterprises that support healthy and sustainable livelihoods.

Bábbarra Designs is our main enterprise. We have a textile workshop specialising in the production of hand-printed fabric design using linocut block prints and screen prints. We are one of only a few Indigenous textile-producing art centres in Australia that design, print and sew product onsite, in community.

We are governed by women for women, led by the strong voices of our Bábbarra Women’s Board. In this space, we women are in charge. We operate an op shop and we support women artists on remote homeland outstations in the region.

We are part of Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation, which was set up by Maningrida community leaders in 1974 to support people to live on their homelands.

Bees Creek Outside School Hours and Vacation Care offer a social approach and safe environment that shapes children’s social development and growth. We recognise the importance of providing fun, stimulating, and nurturing care for each child. Children develop interaction skills and are guided to identify their feelings and regulate their behaviour. Children are also guided to take responsibility for their own well-being and the feelings and consequences caused by their actions that affect themselves and others. Our program provides a balance of indoor and outdoor activities, as well as quiet times and active times so that children can learn, explore and grow in a safe and supportive environment. We believe that all children have the right to be treated with respect, kindness and fairness, so we provide an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and included.

Big Rivers Child and Family Centre is an Aboriginal community-controlled Child and Family Centre established to assist and support local families experiencing or at risk of vulnerability.

Birth and Beyond Alice Springs is a community based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing quality support, education and resources for pregnancy, birth and parenting.

We offer:

• Antenatal Classes, Workshops for Pregnancy, Birth and Parenting
• Parenting support Meetups and Information Sessions

Camp Quality’s purpose is to create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia. We are committed to delivering national programs that build resilience and optimistic behaviours for all children (0-13 years) living with cancer in Australia.

Carers NT is a remarkable not-for-profit organisation focused on enhancing the lives of carers residing in the Northern Territory. A carer can be anyone who selflessly provide unpaid care and support to their family members or friends facing various challenges such as disability, chronic or terminal illness, mental health issues, drug or alcohol dependency, or aging frailty.

The organisation firmly believes in inclusivity, welcoming all carers and the individuals they care for, regardless of age, background, ethnicity, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. Our vision is to foster a community that recognizes and values carers as a significant asset, ensuring they have access to timely and appropriate services. To achieve this vision, Carers NT actively promotes awareness of carers among government funders and the wider community.

We strive to provide carers and their loved ones with a range of services, including respite care, counselling, volunteer support, peer support, advice and information, education, and advocacy. By providing these comprehensive services, Carers NT enables carers to nurture their own well-being, reducing the challenges they face and provide vital support to their families.

We have school counsellors in our partner primary and secondary Catholic schools across Darwin, Katherine and Santa Teresa. Counselling and groupwork is available to the students at these schools. Each school with work with is different, in terms of what works best for the school and for the students. Our school counsellors work with school principals and staff to ensure we work together as a wellbeing team.

Jirnani early Learning Centre is located at Lot 407 Bathurst Highway, Wurrumiyanga at Bathurst Island. The centre is open from 8:00am – 4:00pm daily. The centre provides culturally appropriate education and a care environment that offers plenty of space for children to explore, discover, experiment in both natural and structural environment.

We have under 2’s and under 5’s rooms in the centre where children get to engage with their own age group as well with others. We focus closely on children’s and their family needs and work together to achieve the same outcomes.

We believe Play-based Learning is important to a child’s development of social and emotional skills, language development of Tiwi language and English, and supporting children’s ability to develop positive relationships with peers and positive role modelling from their Elders, Parents and Community

The Alekarenge Family Centre provides culturally appropriate education and care service. The Centre is dedicated to improving children’s early learning and wellbeing outcomes. The Centre provides support for all families by caring for their children in a safe, supervised environment that supports development and education. We provide education and care for non-school aged children from Ali Curung community. Childcare activities focus on social, emotional and cultural development, as well as creative learning and early communication and language skills.
