    Katherine Isolated Children’s Service (KICS)

    Katherine Isolated Children’s Service is a not-for-profit, registered charity and an incorporated association. KICS began remote playgroups in the Northern Territory in 1988 and became incorporated in 1989.

    Katherine Isolated Children’s Service visits children and families who are socially and geographically isolated. KICS visits children living on pastoral properties, in Indigenous communities, in the small towns of Mataranka, Timber Creek and Elliott and participates in invitational events such as campdrafts, Ladies Days, Family Days and Katherine School of the Air events.

    Kidsafe NT is the leading non-government, not-for-profit, charity organisation dedicated to the prevention of unintentional childhood accidents, injuries, and deaths in the Territory. We offer:

    • Renowned child car restraint hire, fit, check, sales, and advisory service. Our Type 1 Fitters are highly trained and accredited professionals and all funds raised from this service goes back into producing programs and materials for parents and caregivers to create safer environments for Territory kids.
    • Fee-for-service workshops and formal accreditation for parents, caregivers, professionals or employed staff who are required to transport children. We also offer customised sessions to meet your needs, we are happy to deliver training specific to your learning outcomes.

    Melaleuca Australia – Counselling and Wellbeing Services

    This program was developed by the Forum of Australian Services for Survivors of Torture and Trauma, to support survivors of torture and trauma by providing specialised services to improve their emotional and mental wellbeing. The Program is open to permanently resettled refugees and humanitarian entrants and those on temporary substantive visas living in the community, who are experiencing psychological or psychosocial difficulties related to their experience before coming to Australia. It offers a safe, professional and nurturing environment for clients to discuss their pain, deal with their grief and address their fears. Ultimately, the Program’s goal is to help clients to heal, with a focus on counselling.
