Relationships Australia – Relationship Counselling
Build a happy, healthy and lasting relationship through counselling. Our local counsellors have experience and training to help relationships. We work with couples to lower stress and conflict. We try to improve key areas such as communication, trust and intimacy.
Common topics that we can help with are:
• Communication issues
• Sexual and intimacy concerns
• Conflict and arguments
• Trauma, grief and loss
• Relationship changes and growth
• Separation & divorce. This can be extra support for people going through family dispute resolution.
Relationships Australia – Family Dispute Resolution
Family Dispute Resolution, also known as family mediation, helps separated or divorced couples to reach agreements around their children, money or property. Mediation is an alternative to going to court. Reaching an agreement without going to court can save parents or couples a lot of money, time and stress.
Family Dispute Resolution is available for parents, carers and other family members. It’s a chance to talk about the children and discuss future parenting arrangements. We help people to talk with respect and focus on what the children need. We can also offer a Child Consultation to assist parents with their decision making.
We can also help separated couples discuss their money, debts and property. You do not need to have children to get help with property issues.
Relationships Australia – Redress Scheme Support Service
We provide free support for people who would like to apply for the National Redress Scheme.
If you experienced sexual abuse as a child under 18 years of age in any institution or school (including sporting club, scouts, orphanages, foster care, religious organisation, group home or clubs) we can support you.
Our support services can help people understand the Redress Scheme and its eligibility requirements. We support them through their application process and help with access to legal and financial advice.
