Anglicare NT – Pandanus (Child Birth Education & Perinatal Support)
Pandanus is a free,voluntary and confidential youth friendly Child Birth Education and Perinatal support service. It is for pregnant young women and young parents (12 – 25 years of age). Midwives provide one off Child Birth Education (CBE) information sessions,adapted CBE group courses. The Caseworker provides short term case management support,practical assistance,referrals to ongoing assistance and new parent information and connection group sessions. Pandanus promotes healthy relationships,pregnancy awareness,positive parenting and peer support and is guided by a Youth and Professionals Reference Groups.

Parlpuru Ninji Kari — Health Services support health and wellbeing for every stage of our clients’ life.
Anyinginyi Health provides culturally responsive primary health care services that are client centred and contribute to improving the health of the Aboriginal community of Tennant Creek and the Barkly region. Our Aboriginal health model means that Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs) are in the frontline tending to clients in the first instance. The AHPs provide triage, management and treatment that is within their scope. As a multidisciplinary team, this model is supported by Registered Nurses, General Practitioners, Specialists and Allied Health teams.
Our programs focus on every stage of our clients’ lives, from babies to the elderly, providing dedicated and focussed care in the areas of:
- dental
- child and maternal health
- women’s health
- men’s health
- diabetes
- renal care.
We also have a dedicated remote health services team who work with surrounding Aboriginal communities within the Barkly region.

The Asthma Foundation NT is largely funded by the NT Government to provide services and education to people with asthma across the NT. These Services also extend to carers, families, teachers, childcare workers, community groups and work places but still rely on the support of their members.
Our Services extend to health professionals including Aboriginal Health Workers, schools, childcare, university students, clinics, other training organisations such as St John Ambulance, workplaces, nursing homes, aged care providers and others.
