Aboriginal Healing

Danila Dilba’s Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) program helps Indigenous people develop quit smoking skills through tailored and culturally safe services including one-on-one consultations around motivation, education, goal setting and clinical advice.

The TIS team delivers the Deadly Choices smoking education sessions at middle schools in the Darwin and Palmerston region.  The team conducts smoking cessation sessions for adult groups, such as at residential rehabilitation centres and for pregnant clients attending Danila Dilba’s clinics.

To encourage smoke-free environments the team also shares information and promotes this important initiative at public events and in shopping centres.

The Health Centre provides 24 hour 7 day a week acute/emergency response through health staff on call and primary health care to the community.
