Calvary Home Care Mulakunya Flexible Aged Care Nguiu offers:

• Flexible Community Care (Flexi Care)
• Meals on Wheels
• Residential Respite Care: Mulakunya is a flexible aged care service for Tiwi Islander people operated by Calvary Community Care on remote Bathurst Island.

We help you to experience noticeable improvements in your daily living. You’ll have access to developmental programs to increase your skill levels, as well as the therapeutic supports you require, such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychology. You’ll expand your social and community participation and enjoy recreational activities and peer support.

The Aged Care Advocate can provide information to people receiving aged care services, about their rights and responsibilities in relation to aged care services and supports them to be involved in decisions that affect their life

The Elders Visiting Program provides Elders the opportunity to participate in a prisoner’s preparation for release. Elders and community members can participate in mediated discussions with offenders in preparation for their release and return to community.

We help Elders to engage with community members and stakeholders. We help to facilitate conversations with community members and offenders that allow them to reach a decision.

The Council delivers a range of Agency, Commercial and Other Council Services that contribute toward improving the level of services provided to their communities. The Council is faced with the challenge of delivering a broad range of services to a standard acceptable to the community whilst at the same time raising revenues required to deliver core services within the context of its community’s ability to support.

The Central Desert Regional Council is responsible for:

Located on Arrernte country, Community Housing is an Aboriginal controlled, not-for-profit community housing provider in Mparntwe / Alice Springs.

Coomalie community is made of a vast array of different ages and groups, from the young to the young at heart.

We offer Community Library Services to all our residents and cater to specific needs within that sector.

Our Sporting facilities include Adelaide River Oval, Batchelor Oval, Batchelor Swimming Pool, Rum Jungle Bowls Club. These can be hired for private events, or just for personal recreation purposes.

These services are for people who need information about aged care options, or help to access aged care supports. This means older people, their families, friends and others who want to link with aged care supports.

DCLS is a free, confidential service. We assist disadvantaged members of the community to protect their legal rights. We work towards a community where everyone has access to legal advice and support. We seek to challenge unjust laws and procedures, and to ensure that people are aware of their legal rights.

The General Legal Service provides free legal information, advice and representation on most areas of law, including:

• Consumer issues and complaints

FREE After-Hours Legal Advice Sessions

Our free after hours advice sessions are held as below, at different locations around Darwin. They are designed to provide one-off initial advice on a range of legal issues. You can talk confidentially about your legal problem with a lawyer, who will give you advice, suggest possible actions, and in some cases may help you to write a letter or prepare other simple documents.
