About Danila Dilba: Gumileybirra (Women’s) Clinic

Gumileybirra is Danila Dilba’s clinic especially for women, staffed by health professionals who are experts in women’s health.

Gumileybirra is well known to generations of Biliru people. Next to Palmerston Clinic there are a range of health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children. The midwives and doctors look after people in a culturally appropriate way, making sure that every patient feels comfortable.

The clinic looks after mums and their babies during pregnancy and after the baby is born. We give extra care for mums who are having some problems. The clinic also brings mums and their children together with other health and community services that will help and support them.
