We provide free legal information, referral and advice to people with a legal problem in the Northern Territory. Ongoing legal representation can be provided to people who meet our eligibility guidelines. We also provide Community Legal Education, outreach and participate in law reform activities.

The Office of Senior Territorians engages with the community and government agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to the implementation of government’s policy priorities for Territory Seniors.
Office of the Children’s Commissioner Northern Territory
The Commissioner is an independent statutory position established under provisions contained in the Children’s Act 2013 (the Act).
The Commissioner has six core functions which include:
- Dealing with complaints about services provided to children.
- Undertaking investigations or inquiries related to systemic issues impacting on the care and protection of vulnerable children.
- Monitoring the response of Territory Families to allegations of the abuse of children while they are in out-of-homecare.
- Promoting an understanding of and informing public discussion about the rights, interests and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
- Monitoring the administration of the Care and Protection of children Act as far as it relates to vulnerable children.

Options Health is a registered NDIS provider. We provide complex mental health support, disability and community nursing care to the community so that participants can live a full and valued life.
We care about our community and its people hence provides services to people with mental health issues and disability.
Our tailored services are meant to sooth every participant needs in the most culturally appropriate manners and support a lifestyle of continued wellness.
Options Health will provides long-term and short-term/respite accommodation and evidence-based, patient centred recovery based mental health and disability support across NT populace living in Darwin, Palmerston and remote communities. We will assist in lifestyle choices, appointments, community access and participation, transportation, in house mental health services and alternative therapies.
Palmerston GP Super Clinic
The Palmerston GP Super Clinic operates seven days per week, 8 am – 8:30 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am – 6 pm Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
Services offered include:
Chronic Disease Management
General Health and Well-Being checks; and a range of allied health and other specialist services such as
General Practice Medicare Rebatable services for DVA Card Holders, Pensioners and Health Care Card holders as well as people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island descent and children under 16 years for General Practice Medicare rebatable services are bulk billed.
All other services may attract a private fee.
Palmerston Men’s Shed
Men’s Sheds are a community workshop area for men to gather, develop skills, and undertake different activities.
Men’s Sheds are about increasing the wellbeing of men by fostering social connectedness and increasing self-esteem. A number of projects and social enterprises can operate out of a Men’s Shed. Membership is by application and payment of a small annual fee.
Parentline offers confidential phone and WebChat counselling and support for parents and carers of children in Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Pathfinders deliver a suite of programs that provide ongoing mental health support and mentorship for young people as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of adolescence. We explore narratives using a social-emotional wellbeing framework, adventure therapy and evidence-informed youth work practices to support our next generation to connect, learn and grow on Larrakia Country and around the Northern Territory.
Our programs include;
– Tailored outdoor and adventure-based mentoring programs for vulnerable young people.
– Healing and wellbeing camps for young people.
– Healthy living programs in remote communities in partnership with Red Dust.
– Social-emotional wellbeing programs in schools.
– Workforce training options for youth work organisations include trauma-informed care, managing challenging behaviours, and strengths-based practice.

In our Service agreements, our clause is to have providers paid, within two days. This clause will keep us accountable.
Playgroup Northern Territory supports young families to learn and grow through play. Our mission is to promote and develop fun, educational experiences for babies and children through community playgroups, and to provide information and support networks for families.
Established in 1980, Playgroup NT has supported young families to learn through play for four decades. We are a not-for-profit organisation managed by a volunteer Board of Governance, and are partially funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Playgroup NT is an association member of Playgroup Australia, the peak representative body for playgroup organisations in Australia. Our staff consists of paid employees and invaluable community volunteers.
What We Offer
Playgroup NT offers playgroups that are supported by our staff (supported playgroups), and others that are led by volunteers (community playgroups). There are playgroups held in many locations to suit a wide range of needs, and more information can be found on our About Playgroups page. Probus is a part of the Rotary International World and is a club for retired or semi-retired ladies and men.
Probus is not for profit, non-sectarian and non-fundraising.
Its objectives are to stimulate thought, interest and participation in activities at a time of life when it is easy to become complacent and self-centered.
Psych Solutions NT
Psych Solutions NT is a thriving private practice established in July 2012 and since that time has provided the full range of treatment and assessment services across Darwin and the Northern Territory.
Psych Solutions NT has been an Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) Provider since October 2013, servicing the full range of ATAPS clients, including adults, children/adolescents, perinatal clients, Indigenous clients and Suicide Prevention clients.
Our team has built a solid reputation over the years as a provider of psychological assessment work. This includes forensic and clinical assessments across a diverse range of settings from Child Protection, Criminal, Juvenile Justice, Medical, Family Law to Parole Board and Adult Guardianship. We also have contractual arrangements with Territory Families.
Purple House is an innovative Indigenous-owned and run health service operating from its base in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Now operating 18 remote clinics and a mobile dialysis unit called the Purple Truck, Purple House is getting patients back home so that families and culture can remain strong.
