About Litchfield Rural Show – Formerly Freds Pass Rural Show

We hold a unique rural agricultural show every May, with a special focus on local food production, preparation and experiences. It is the largest community event in the Litchfield Municipality. Like all agricultural shows, it has a mixture of events, side show alley, activities, displays, siteholders, agricultural and home industries competitions and entertainment that together seek to showcase a broad range of Outer Darwin’s agriculture and horticulture sectors, rural lifestyle and community spirit.
After 46 years on the Freds Pass Reserve, the show will be entering an exciting new chapter in 2026, by changing location to the beautiful Livingstone Recreation Reserve, and changing its name to the Litchfield Rural Show. It will still be the same show that we all know and love, just with a new name and location.
