Indigenous children’s charity Moriarty Foundation is building an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children thrive. We work to close the gaps in education, health, wellbeing and employment so Indigenous children can have cultural, social and economic equality.
The Foundation was founded in 2011 by Yanyuwa man John Moriarty AM – the first Aboriginal footballer to be selected for Australia – and business leader, social investor and author, Ros Moriarty.
Our community-controlled upstream programs enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities to unlock their children’s potential.
Our programs succeed because we are Aboriginal-founded, Aboriginal-delivered, embedded, holistic and authentic.
Every week we reach over 2,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in 20 public schools in 18 remote and regional communities in NT, Qld and NSW through our interrelated programs, John Moriarty Football (JMF) and Indi Kindi.
