John Moriarty Football (JMF) is a transformational football (soccer) skills program for two to 18 year olds that improves school engagement and achieves resilient and healthier outcomes for Indigenous children.
Delivered in school curriculum, in before and after school sessions, at holiday clinics and weekend competitions, JMF has a continuous, positive presence in the community to engage and support children and youth.
JMF was established in Borroloola in 2012 and commenced in Tennant Creek in 2019. JMF is named for Yanyuwa man John Moriarty, the first Aboriginal to be elected to play football for Australia.
