The Arramwelke Aboriginal Corporation, based at Bonya, is directly funded by the Northern Territory and Commonwealth Governments to provide all municipal and essential services, and ‘repairs and maintenance’ to Aboriginal houses at Bonya and four other smaller Homelands located north-east of Alice Springs, along the Plenty Highway. Arramwelke Aboriginal Corporation also operates a small shop at Bonya selling essential food items and other merchandise.
