We hold a unique rural agricultural show every May, with a special focus on local food production, preparation and experiences. It is the largest community event in the Litchfield Municipality. Like all agricultural shows, it has a mixture of events, side show alley, activities, displays, siteholders, competitions and entertainment that together seek to showcase a broad range of Outer Darwin’s agriculture and horticulture sectors, rural lifestyle and community spirit.
After 46 years on the Freds Pass Reserve, the show will be entering an exciting new chapter in 2026 – relocating to the Livingstone Recreation Reserve and changing its name to the Litchfield Rural Show. While the venue and name are changing, the community spirit that defines the show remains unchanged. We know how important this show is to our rural community, and we’re committed to preserving the traditions that people love while embracing this exciting new location on the Livingstone Recreation Reserve.
