One Tree Community Services Inc – Gunbalanya Women’s Safe House Services

In July 2025, One Tree was awarded the contract for the Gunbalanya Safe House. Located 300km from Darwin, Gunbalanya is an Aboriginal community in West Arnhem Land, Northern Territory. Also known as Oenpelli, it is  situated near the East Alligator River and borders Kakadu National Park.

We provide crisis accommodation and support for women and children experiencing family domestic and sexual violence. The Gunbalanya Safe House uses a 24/7 service on-call model, operating 365 days a year.

The safe house provides:

• referral services
