Active Performance – Indigenous Health
Stronger Together
We will improve the health and quality of life of Indigenous Australians through culturally appropriate, flexible and creative service delivery.
AP has extensive experience delivering physiotherapy and broader case management services to Indigenous Australians and their families throughout numerous remote communities in Northern Australia.
We are extremely proud to have been partnered with the MJD Foundation to assist in the care of people living with Machado Joseph Disease (MJD) since early 2013 through our Staying Stronger for Longer Program.
A unique focus to our program is our Physio On Country Model, whereby, we conduct sessions ‘out bush’ combining traditional knowledge and priorities with best practice therapy to promote improved Functional Performance.

Adventure Therapy
At Pathfinders, we deliver tailored outdoor and adventure-based programs that promote social inclusion and enable healing for vulnerable young people. Our programs are designed to be accessible and promote pro-social behaviours, internal capacities, and community connections. Depending on the needs of the young person or group, our programs can range from a few hours to a few days in length. We believe that by providing supportive and nurturing environments, we can help young people overcome adversity and build a brighter future.
Our therapeutic adventure programs are open to young people aged 10-17. We conduct both group and individual programs. We have limited spaces available so it’s important to make a referral as soon as possible to secure a spot. These are fee for service programs.
