We promote healthy lifestyles and self-management to reduce the burden of arthritis and osteoporosis.
No referrals are needed and we welcome all enquiries.
Asthma Foundation of the Northern Territory
Asthma Australia and its State/Territory Asthma Foundations – the nations’ leading lung health charity.
Asthma Swim Program
Provides healthy swimming activities for children with asthma.
Provides asthma education for schools, child care centres,sporting organisations and other community groups.
Individual health consultations are available for people with asthma.
Equipment & Aids
Health equipment and aids to help manage asthma are available for sale.
Visits are conducted for those in hospital with asthma related conditions.
Information Stands & Displays
Information stands and displays are available for health promotion related to asthma.
Spirometry testing is available for asthma-related health conditions.
Telephone Advice Line
Telephone advice is available about health issues related to asthma.
Australian Breastfeeding Association NT
We aim to provide mothers with practical mother-to-mother support and information, enabling them to establish and continue breastfeeding. We provide breastfeeding counselling through the National Breastfeeding Helpline, 1800 686 268, and through local groups. ABA groups hold meetings to give friendship, support and information about breastfeeding and other parenting topics. All parents are welcome, whether breastfeeding or not. We hold Breastfeeding Education Classes for expectant parents. Breast pump hire is available. For more details, please visit our website, breastfeeding.asn.au
Bereaved Parent Support NT Inc T/as Amber NT
We provide confidential, non-clinical, non-financial support to anyone who has lost a child from conception to 18 years. This loss can be through miscarriage, stillbirth, termination, SUDI (Inc. SIDS, sudden illness, youth suicide and accidents.
We also support families with pregnancies after loss, helping to relieve common anxieties.
Our Support Officers are mobile and can meet clients a various different locations around Darwin, Palmerston and the surrounds.
Support can be face to face or via the use of technology.
Binjari Health Clinic (Wurli-Wurlinjang Health Service)
Wurli manages the Binjari Health Centre located 15 kilometres west of Katherine in the Binjari Community. Residents and visitors of Binjari can access a full range of effective and culturally competent primary health care services from the Clinic as well as access referrals into Wurli’s Community Services and Chronic Conditions Clinic available.
The Clinic promotes and protects health and wellbeing by encouraging the adoption of healthy behaviours, controlling the spread of disease and preventing harm and injury while influencing the social determinants of health.
