The Remote School Attendance Strategy (RSAS) is an Australian Government initiative funded by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. It is designed to lift school attendance levels in specific remote communities by employing local RSAS Teams to support parents, guardians, carers, community members and students to help get children to school every day and to work cooperatively with families, community members and schools to put in place strategies to support school attendance. This program operates in communities Yarralin/Lingarra. The program employs 11 Indigenous staff across the communities and a coordinator who oversees the program which includes the RSAS component of the School Attendance and Community Safety Program (SACS) operating in Kalkarindji/Daguragu.
