    headspace Katherine is a free and confidential service that can help young people aged 12 to 25 with their mental health and wellbeing. headspace Darwin provides assistance in four key areas: Mental Health,Physical and Sexual Health,Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and Vocational Support. Regular outreach visits occur in specific remote communities within the region. Clinical services are provided by registered allied health practitioners,which include private providers who deliver services under Medicare Benefits Scheme (MBS) and Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS).

    Anglicare NT – Housing Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI)

    After 4+ years of supporting people through the ‘Housing and Support Initiative‘ (HASI) in the Greater Darwin and Katherine communities, from January 2 2023, Anglicare NT will no longer deliver this service. Please note the provider of the new ‘Housing Support Program’ is the Salvation Army. We wish the Salvation Army well with the new program.

    HASI has made a positive difference in the lives of many people and Anglicare NT would like to thank participants, carers, our staff and stakeholders and in particular Top End Mental Health Services for your contribution to this initiative and the journey from service establishment, implementation, evaluation through to the transition process. We also acknowledge Department of Health for funding HASI and the guidance provided by members of the HASI Reference Group.

    TESIAT delivers evidence based suicide intervention and awareness training at a subsidised rate to non-government organisations,government agencies,the general public and targeted remote communities across the Top End of the Northern Territory. The program offers both the skills based 2-day LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop and a half day Suicide Awareness session SafeTALK and supports a pool of Trainers.     Bereaved by Suicide Support Group NT

    BBSSGNT is a suicide bereavement support group for persons over the age of 18 years who have been impacted by suicide loss of a family member, friend or work colleague. Postvention support (support after suicide) is Prevention. For every incident of suicide, research indicates that at least 135 persons are affected by each incident. This equates to approx half a million people nationally in Australia alone. The BBSSGNT is an initiative by SabrinasReach4Life based in Darwin.

    Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of every month between 6:30pm to 8:30pm @ Harry’s Place, 1 Willeroo Street in TIWI.

    Bereaved Parent Support NT Inc T/as Amber NT

    We provide confidential, non-clinical, non-financial support to anyone who has lost a child from conception to 18 years. This loss can be through miscarriage, stillbirth, termination, SUDI (Inc. SIDS, sudden illness, youth suicide and accidents.

    We also support families with pregnancies after loss, helping to relieve common anxieties.

    Our Support Officers are mobile and can meet clients a various different locations around Darwin, Palmerston and the surrounds.

    Support can be face to face or via the use of technology.
