StepUP Loans enables people on a low income to obtain a low interest loan of between $800 and $3000. To qualify for a loan,you must hold a Centrelink Healthcare card or Pension card or be eligible for Family Tax Benefit Part A and have lived at your current address for at least 3 months. Loan applications can be made for personal,domestic or household purposes but cannot be used for rental bond or consolidation of existing loans.a
The National Debt Helpline in the Northern Territory is provided by Anglicare NT. People calling the Helpline will speak with a Financial Counsellor who will provide free professional assistance regarding money worries or any financial concerns.
The National Debt Helpline 1800 007 007 is a Territory wide service and operates 8.30 am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
