Mutitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation – Mutitjulu Community Safety and Night Patrol Services

The Mutitjulu Community Safety Program is a new program funded by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and delivered primarily by members of the Mutitjulu Community employed by the Mutitjulu Community Aboriginal Corporation (MCAC).

The focus of Community Patrols is to work with the community, other service providers and police to improve community safety, including:

  • Children
  • Youth
  • Other vulnerable people in the communities.

The patrols also support the goals of the Remote School Attendance Strategy to ensure children are home safely at night and rested to attend school.

Community patrols are not police, however they do work with the police and other service providers to improve community safety – it’s about working together.
